Alpine Therapy Services (ATS) General Protocol
STIPENDS Should be requested when you accept a patient in SOLI, and not after you have driven to see a patient. Map it out in advance and if the patient is >30mins from you, please request a stipend. Some companies will approve these while others will not depending on the situation. Asking for a stipend to an agency will take more time to get approved (likely) so keep this in mind if you want to see a patient sooner than later. If you have questions, please ask!
START OF CARE (SOC)
Call to schedule as soon as the patient is assigned to you in SOLI; write a comm note in ATS Kinnser for attempts to schedule and/or once scheduled. Consent forms are required, please look at the protocol page for the customer to print or download fillable consent forms. Must be completed within 48hrs of the MD order, otherwise a Delay Order is required with a communication note in ATS Kinnser explaining attempts to schedule.

EVALUATION GUIDELINES

REFUSAL OF EVALUATION
Please write a comm note in Alpine Kinnser and nonadmit with reasons noted in SOLI. The ATS Admin team will always be happy to help communicate with the agencies on these. Please reach out to the ATS Admin team if you need assistance.
EVALUATION PAPERWORK
General standardized testing required – up to therapists to determine
VO required for additional visits following the evaluation.
Frequency/Authorization/Communication Assistance
Any additional authorization, change to frequency, frequency approval questions outside of the SOLI ‘insurance’ line item, or any additional communication assistance needed for VO or agency communication items, should go through the customer first. Please know that the ATS Admin office can assist by emailing contact@alpinetherapyservices.com.
TakeOver Requests in SOLI, the admin team will make sure the SOC has been completed, the VO is obtained, the frequency is determined, a copy of the evaluation with goals is received before the patient is assigned to a clinician. If you have any issues with takeovers, please let the ATS Admin team know right away.
MISSED VISITS
Write missed visit in Alpine Kinnser with reasons noted. Always try to make up missed visits within the Medicare work week (Sunday to Saturday), or obtain a VO to make up the visit in a different week, as insurance will only allow a certain number of visits in a cert period.
NONCOMPLIANCE - if a patient misses 3 semi consecutive visits, please contact the agency before completing a DC due to compliance.
DISCHARGES
Regular Discharges, or complete DC OASIS if you are the last discipline in with NOMNC (signed 48hrs or more prior to DC) needs to be uploaded to Alpine Kinnser. Always communicate with the agency on who the last discipline in is to prevent additional documentation.
Transfers
Place patient in hospitalized status in SOLI and notify the agency ASAP.
Resumption of Care
Notified by customer to ATS Admin staff.
